Retrieving The Magical Woman

Retrieving the Magical Woman: A Two-Day Experiential Journey
Santa Fe / New Mexico
September 26th & 27th

Co-facilitated by Joey Paynter, Ph.D. & Jennifer Lothrigel, CEAP

Magic lives uniquely in every woman as their very own medicine to use as they choose in the cultivation of their most well-lived life. Often this innate medicine is disowned, hidden, or opposed by the pressure to fit into a conventional world.

This immersive, two-part weekend workshop offers a gentle, profound space to remember, befriend, and retrieve your magical self, learning how to anchor her gifts to help navigate your life. Through inner work, creative embodiment, and outdoor ritual, we will step into a shared, sacred container where your magic can be seen, held, and fully embodied.

The Journey & Flow

Day 1

When: Saturday | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Where: In a beautiful indoor yoga studio - Santa Fe Community Yoga Center

The Experience: We begin indoors, diving into parts work to meet and name your unique "Magical Woman."  To bridge the psychological with the tangible, we will use air-dry clay to sculpt a physical icon of this part of yourself. This sacred object will serve as the physical anchor for the energy we evoke, preparing us for the next day's ritual. This day will include other creative activities as well.  (Organic snacks provided: please bring a packed lunch)

Day 2

When: Sunday | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Followed by an optional late lunch together)

Where: A stunning, raw nature space near Abiquiu surrounded by majestic hoodoos

The Experience: We take our clay icons into the wild for a solitary, vision-quest-inspired ritual. You will embark on a quiet scavenger hunt to gather local rocks and elements, assembling your own personal altar out in the landscape. You will have dedicated, timeless space to sit, meditate, and journal with your altar—listening to the medicine it holds.

The Witnessing & Closing: We will gather back together to witness, empower, and seal the energy of your Magical Woman so you don't have to carry her alone. We will conclude with a closing ceremony to ground and integrate our weekend.
(Afternoon snacks provided; please bring a packed lunch).

Important Logistics & Elements of Adventure

  • Weather & Safety: Nature is our co-facilitator, but safety is our priority. We have an indoor backup location secured in the event of rain.

  • Requirements: All participants will be required to sign a standard liability waiver upon registration.
